2024-25 Update

Two apprentices engaged in 2022 continue with their NVQ, and in mid-2024 a further apprentice has been engaged to commence business & administration, to reduce some of the burden on the management team.

During 2024 the company has again been accredited to both Safecontractor, for health and safety, and SafePQQ for environmental and sustainability, these approvals can be seen on the portal online and are an essential part of any PQQ, issued by new clients, giving confidence that the company has processes and procedures in place.

In addition, the company continues to maintain quality management systems for both ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 1090, these mean procedures must be followed to demonstrate their effectiveness, and in September 2024 ISOQAR conduct a two-day audit to cover both standards. The certificates again are essential for PQQ’s and to issue to clients to give confidence.

The company in 2023 upgraded their ISO 1090 accreditation to cover execution class 3, there being very few organisations with this level of accreditation.

In early 2024 security improvements were made to the premises, to include an intruder system and cameras, reducing the negative impacts of potential break-in or damage which is disruptive to the business and therefore our clients.

In 2024 was secured a large project for a new pasteuriser at Blagdon, being over £800,000 and a dedicated project manager and team on site for six months.

In addition, a framework contract was agreed with our client, so future orders can be placed under this agreement, providing a level of future work.

The company continues to invest in further plant and equipment, to include two new vehicles in 2024, the LEV is in constant use in the workshop providing a healthier environment for staff, who undergo annual health surveillance with a local provider, these being essential to identify any early signs of ill health, and so help the company retain a healthy workforce.

The company continues to search for larger premises, which would allow the company to grow further, there being none suitable available, the company will consider purchasing and building a bespoke premises, with workshop and offices with scope for expansion.

We also continue to maintain the IT infrastructure keeping data secure and backed up thereby protecting our clients, and our own information.

The website is updated to include current accreditations and details of recent projects, and LinkedIn for posting specific successes.

For 2025, further welder apprentices will be considered, this is a means to protect the company, futureproofing the workforce, and training the next generation of supervisors and managers, this is important to the management to ensure the company has a trained workforce for the future.
