From 23 to 27 March 2026 the company took three work experience students from the Pingle academy. These are intended to provide some work-based experience for students to help the decide on a future career path, we would not usually take three in one week.

 

On their first day an induction, tour of the premises to include welfare and workshop.

Overview of the business & meet the staff. Complete a sketch based on a CAD drawing for a coffee table, followed by introduction to AutoCAD, understanding of what this is, uses, what clients expect, and the drawing of the coffee table.

Completion of an online Safety training course from iHASCO, to include questions

 

Each had their week split, so 2.5 days on office procedures and tasks, help with daily activities.

The rest in the workshop under constant supervision, to produce the coffee table using the CAD drawing.

 

Hopefully all three enjoyed the week and more importantly learned more about the workplace and informed them for future career choices.
